Two Goldens and a Byrd: Annie Golden, Golden Earring and Ricky Byrd.

I was lucky enough to have been musically and friendship wise involved with this lot. And so the story continues. Annie and I had a duo that wound up touring in Europe more times than I can count.

Golden Earring became fast friends and George Kooymans and I are like brothers. When the Bandoleros toured Europe for the first time, The Earring loaned us a whole van of gear. God bless those.

Ricky Byrd is not only a brilliant musician but hysterical. Very hard to keep a straight face when he would spout one of his gems of wisdom and madness. I love that guy.
